കേന്ദ്ര സംസ്ഥാന സർക്കാരുകൾ സംയുക്തമായാണ് പോക്സോ കോടതികൾ ആരംഭിക്കുക. പുതിയ കോടതികൾ തുടങ്ങാൻ കേന്ദ്ര നിയമ നീതിന്യായ മന്ത്രാലയം അനുമതി നൽകിയിരുന്നു. തിരുവനന്തപുരം ജില്ലയിൽ നാലും, തൃശൂർ മലപ്പുറം ജില്ലകളിൽ മൂന്നും, കൊല്ലം കോട്ടയം ഇടുക്കി എറണാകുളം പാലക്കാട് കോഴിക്കോട് കണ്ണൂർ എന്നീ ജില്ലകളിൽ രണ്ടും , മറ്റുജില്ലകളിൽ ഒന്നും വീതമാണ് കോടതികൾ അനുവദിച്ചത്.
